Retail resplendence with Silica Systems

14 February, 2025

It may not be true in modern times that many Amiga users get their machines from stores, but back in the 90s, you could walk in off the street and walk out again with a brand new Commodore under your arm. You could also ring up a mail order place and get hardware and software sent straight to your door. Our cover feature this month looks into the background of one of the UK's leading lights in both these sectors - Silica Systems. Many of us only had Amigas because of the work they put in to supplying great bundles at affordable prices. We chat to some of the people behind the scenes at the time, and look at how the company came to be.
